Your Garage Door Rollers Are Worn or Broken
Although your garage door may be operating fine, just one worn out roller will create a domino effect. One broken roller will cause additional weight and stress to the other rollers. Once the other rollers begin breaking, eventually the door will collapse after its rails begin to bend. Owners of particularly heavy garage doors will need to be extra weary of this issue!

Your Garage Door Tracks Are Out-of-Alignment
A very common cause of garage doors coming off their tracks involve bent horizontal tracks. The horizontal tracks are responsible for holding up the weight of the entire garage door. When using low quality, incorrectly installed, or old horizontal tracks, the entire system may buckle. This increases the risk of your garage door coming off its tracks if it cannot properly be supported.

Your Lift Cables are Broken
If your garage door is on the older side, there is a rare chance one of your lift cables may eventually break. Keeping up with regular garage door maintenance will help you catch a worn cable before it breaks. A door out-of-alignment can cause the lift cables to unravel out of the drum and break without notice.

Your Door or Tracks Have Been Damaged
Many of us may have done this whether we admit it or not, but hitting your garage door with your car a couple of times can likely do enough damage to eventually knock off a couple rollers.
